Important information about pigment and healing
PMU pigment reacts differently with every skin type. Factors such as skin type, sebum production, skin condition, aftercare and the healing process can affect how much pigment your skin retains.
Immediately after the treatment, your eyebrows may look darker and more intense. The colour will gradually soften as they heal. Some areas may also temporarily appear lighter or as though they have retained less pigment.
That’s why we only assess the final result once your skin has fully healed.
Aftercare
Every skin reacts differently to PMU pigment. Some skin retains the pigment well straight away, while in others some pigment may fade during healing or certain areas may become lighter. This is normal and does not necessarily mean the treatment was not performed correctly.
During your touch-up, we’ll refine the colour and shape and fill in any lighter areas as needed.
Any required touch-ups are free until we’re both happy with the desired final result.
Once you’ve achieved your desired result and your skin has fully healed, you can enjoy your Ombre PMU Brows for an average of 1 to 3 years. How long the results last varies from person to person and depends, among other things, on skin type, lifestyle, skincare and sun exposure.
Aftercare
Good aftercare is essential for a beautiful healing result. You’ll receive clear aftercare instructions after your treatment.
During the healing process, it’s important to:
- Do not pick or pull at scabs or flakes
- Keep your eyebrows clean and cared for by following the instructions provided
- Avoid excessive sweating, saunas and swimming while healing
- Keep the treated area out of unnecessary sun exposure and away from tanning beds while it heals
- Avoid applying makeup or skincare products to the treated area while it is healing
Always follow the personalised aftercare instructions you receive after your treatment.
How long does PMU last?
PMU fades gradually. How long the results last varies from person to person and depends, among other things, on skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, skincare and how your skin retains the pigment.
