Important to know about pigment and healing
PMU pigment reacts differently in every skin. Factors such as skin type, sebum production, skin condition, aftercare, and the healing process can influence how much pigment the skin retains.
Immediately after the treatment, the eyebrows may appear darker and more intense. During the healing process, the color gradually softens. It may also temporarily appear as if certain spots are lighter or have absorbed less pigment.
We therefore assess the final result only after the skin has fully healed.
Aftercare
Every skin reacts differently to PMU pigment. With some skin, the pigment takes well immediately, while with others, some pigment may fade or certain spots may become lighter during the healing process. This is normal and does not automatically mean that the treatment was not performed correctly.
During the aftercare, we touch up color, shape, and lighter spots where necessary.
The necessary aftercare treatment(s) are free of charge until we are both satisfied with the desired final result.
Once the desired result has been achieved and the skin has fully healed, you can enjoy your PMU Ombre Eyebrows for an average of 1 to 3 years. How long the result remains visible varies from person to person and depends on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, skincare, and sun exposure.
Aftercare
Proper aftercare is important for a beautiful healing result. After your treatment, you will receive clear aftercare instructions.
During the healing process, it is important, among other things, to:
- Do not scratch or pull at scabs or skin flakes
- To keep the eyebrows clean and well-groomed according to the provided instructions.
- Excessive sweating, temporarily avoid sauna and swimming
- Do not expose the treated skin to unnecessary sun or tanning beds during healing.
- Do not apply make-up or skin products to the treated skin as long as it is still healing.
Always follow the personal aftercare instructions you receive after your treatment.
How long does PMU remain visible?
PMU fades gradually. How long the result remains visible varies from person to person and depends on, among other things, skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, skincare, and how the pigment is absorbed by your skin.
